The city is host to many festivals- Blues & Bar-BQ, Festival in the Park, St. Patty's Day, Downtown Living Tour, Art by Night, Chili Cook-Off, Local Colors, Dickens of a Christmas, and so many more.  Just behind the Inn is the Kirk Avenue Music Hall, a great small venue that features music covering all genres from Maria Muldaur, Dan Navarro, and Colin Hay to local faves, My Radio.  Six blocks away is the Jefferson Center, a beautiful renovation of an old high school originally built in 1922 and now the home to musical acts like Bela Fleck, Chick Corea, and Emmy Lou Harris who rave about the acoustics of this "shoe box" opera house.  National acts share the stage of the Roanoke Civic Center with our own Roanoke Symphony Orchestra.
